Senior Product Manager - Aria Automation

The VMware Aria Automation (https://www.vmware.com/products/aria.html) product team is responsible for a portfolio of products and services that enable our customers to automate the management of VMs, containers and modern-day applications across the multi-cloud universe. You would be part of a team that sets the vision and direction of a platform that manages the lifecycle of cloud assets across multiple cloud providers for the benefit of our 18,000+ customers with an annual cloud spend of over $12 billion.

As a Senior Product Manager, you'll be working with a group of highly talented and motivated, customer focused and data-driven Product Managers, Developers and Designers to deliver VMware Ara Automation, an application platform which helps an array of personas easily automate, govern, and protect cloud assets across the multi-cloud universe.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager (PLM) to work on the VMware Aria Automation team. The team works to produce solutions that deliver the vision, capabilities, and roadmap of automation to the multi-cloud universe. We are looking for a PM to coordinate between multiple teams that make up VMware Aria and to assist the team plan and deliver products and services in a consistent manner on various clouds.

  • Define and manage customer business needs into product strategy and technology requirements as part of market and product requirements.

  • Develop, lead and communicate product roadmaps to customers, prospects, and all internal key team members.

  • Work to bring the voice of the customer to the development team through research, customer engagements and involving customers in the incremental progress of the evolving product.

  • Be responsible for working with the product marketing team to develop go-to-market strategies and marketing content to support sales and field marketing teams.

  • You will partner with users, customers, and account teams to facilitate successful customer proof of concept deployments.

  • Translate customer business needs into product strategy and technology requirements

  • Do research by working with field teams, customers, industry, and internal experts.

  • Work closely with Dev and Design to deliver specific features and solutions.

  • Developing and updating a product roadmap and strategy that supports the broader business unit product strategy.

  • Communicate with internal and external consumers in order to gather requirements and facilitate adoption of your products and solutions.

  • Write, own, and communicate use-case scenarios and epics.

  • Travel 25-35% of the time meeting with and presenting to customers and for internal and customer events/meetings.
