Summary You will serve as a Management Assistant in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will perform fact finding and data review of inventory, audits, warehouse requirements and for organizing and maintaining statistical data in support of all Material Management functions. You will conduct fact finding related to problems in order to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and recognize solutions pertaining to physical inventories, perpetual inventories, and inventory accuracy. You will be responsible for preparation and submission of all warehousing and Inventory reports and data calls and provides recommendations to management in identifying and developing improvements work methods. You will compile data/information, file, review and make recommendations pertinent to supplies, warehousing, audits and inventory management requirements, and work measurements statistics in support of Inventory and Warehouse Product and Services. You will monitor material transactions to assure material has been properly processed and that all key supporting documentation is accurate. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing a thorough knowledge of management and/or program analysis technical rules, guidelines, regulations and precedents and knowledge of basic objectives and policies governing various management or program operations; to assist with studies, interpret the results and recommend alternative course of action for various programs when precedents are applicable and are based on available factual information. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Analyzing inventory data for trends to identify and describe recurring problems contributing to deviations from management goals; 2) Applying basic data gathering methods such as standard interviewing or surveying techniques to collect various types of factual information; 3) Identifying inventory problems from collected data and selecting solutions from alternatives in guidelines and precedent cases; 4) Preparing clear, concise reports that describe the data collection techniques and other processes used to recommend improvements.
