Job Summary:
The Occupational Health Nurse delivers basic occupational health nursing services and conducts general administrative nursing duties. This position typically resides in a low volume medical clinic and/or shift, resulting in the execution of lower volume and complexity nursing responsibilities relative to more advanced, higher volume positions. Incumbents typically have previous general healthcare, acute care, or occupational health experience and have progressed through various health care positions.
What you will do (includes but not limited to):
The delivery of basic nursing services related to employee illness and injury.
RN will be following all aspects of licensure: including assessment reviews, responds to on-site medical emergencies, consults on, and coordinates advanced on-site medical care when needed.
Ensures all clinic functions are consistent with Medical Department policies and procedures.
Assumes responsibility for basic health clinical administration, including but not limited to maintaining clinic order, delivering new employee orientation presentations, and maintaining metrics, measurements, and documentation for corporate medical functions via paper records and/or the HR data system.
Acts the liaison between local facility and the Corporate Medical Department to ensure medical services meet the expectations of the facility leadership and the employees.
Supports Disability Case Management activities, medical staff, and outside entities in determining the work-relatedness of injuries, complying with governmental regulations, and conducting investigations.
Supports the delivery of wellness communication and on-site wellness programming.
Engages in a supportive role as assigned in special projects, program delivery.
Conducts DOT drug testing and fit-for-duty evaluations, OSHA mandated and other surveillance exams.
What you must have:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Licensed as a Registered Nurse
CPR certified
Top Candidates will also have:
3+ years' experience in nursing
Experience with Microsoft Office 360
