We are seeking a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) as a High School Summer Intern in our IT infrastructure department. The IT Infrastructure team is responsible for IT Infrastructure at all Parts Distribution Centers and Logistics Centers in the US. This infrastructure includes Network Administration, Server Administration, Desktop PC support, Asset Management, on site Mobility devices (RFID scanning & printing), & Automations technologies.
In PSLD, we have the opportunity to work within one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts DistributionofCat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurementand thedesign andmanufactureof Wear & Maintenance Components, e.g., Steel Products (Undercarriage and GET) and Specialty Products (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Working with data warehouse and Reporting tools - PowerBI
Data Retrieval and Analysis via snowflake and snaplogic
Updating and writing queries against snowflake tables
User/Authorization Support - providing data access to customers
Working with customers (internal and external) and executing with a sense of urgency
Demonstrating initiative with willingness to take ownership and accountability
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with MS Office Suite (includes: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of programming concepts, understands logic (SQL queries, DB2, Snowflake)
General programming classes
