Responsibilities
Supervises the work of HR Generalists day-to-day activities and oversees the compliance responsibilities and metrics of the team. Works closely with community and divisional associates supporting the states that the position is responsible for as a working supervisor. Provides training and development for the HR Generalists team and Business Office Managers/Coordinators to ensure compliance of the I-9, E-Verify, background check and HR Policy/procedures and provides support to management in order to help effectively identify and implement process improvements.
Supervises HR Generalist staff including interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising, rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving concerns. Ensures HR Generalist team members acquire necessary skills and performance attributes, in line with development needs.
Partners with management to ensure resources and tools are maintained and optimized for the HR Generalist team, community leaders, and business office teams they serve.
Provides HR Generalist support to a regional area of communities, while partnering with the District Directors of Operations, HR Business Partners, Executive Directors and Business Office Managers/Coordinators, for those states.
Identifies and assists in establishing department metrics and goals; measures and monitors Human Resources Generalist team performance and produces reports for management.
Monitors and supports HR Generalists in utilizing the ServiceNow platform and the Community First Help Line calls for HR related matters.
Supports management on department initiatives and recommends process improvement opportunities where appropriate.
Advises managers and associates on pre/post-employment policies and procedures.
Advises management on organizing, preparing, and implementing pre/post-employment programs.
Monitors and approves HR Generalist hours for payroll.
Responsible for tasks and activities as assigned by department management (i.e. invoice processing, background check adjudications and review, subpoenas, etc.).
Escalates situations to management when additional guidance/support is required.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and a minimum of three to five years related experience. Additional years of relevant experience can be substituted for the education requirement on a year for year basis. Previous supervisor experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements
Preferred certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) or desire/willingness to acquire.
