Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Project Controls Analyst I to assist with the support of our premier utility clients. As a member of our project controls & finance team you will have primary responsibility for the successful planning and execution of projects within a program relating to revenue and expenditure.
In this role you can expect duties include creating, supporting and leading financial project plans with provisions for invoicing and billing, project and program accruals, financial reports (Monthly / Quarterly/Annual/ as required), prepare and participate in dynamic and strategic forecasting ensuring that projects stay on track financially within the guidelines of company, project execution plan and applicable regulatory agencies.
Heavy involvement and collaborating with both internal and client stakeholders to ensure program has focused and timely financial focus. The Ideal Candidate would have a working and managerial level experience enabling them to provide financial, AR/AP/Billing and project facing financial controls guidance. Thorough understanding of business implications of decisions and display focus on profitability, cost drivers and ability to work with program leadership to facilitate sustained cost reductions through process and fact-based enhancements.
As a key member of the program team you will execute and oversee all program related financial and associated reporting activities for program team.
The job responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
Subcontractor Invoice Processing: reviewing, processing, and verifying subcontractor invoices, securing approvals, addressing discrepancies, and collaborating on change orders.
Invoice Management: reviews, processes, and ensures the accuracy of project invoices in alignment with contracts. Collaborate with vendors to address discrepancies and ensure timely submission to clients and support expediting invoice payments.
Reviews purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures. Maintains tracking database to ensure that subcontractor funding aligns with work authorization and expenditures. Tracks additional change orders.
Subcontractor Timesheet Management: updating templates, overseeing collection, ensuring accuracy, addressing discrepancies, managing workflow with the Integration team for contract compliance, and reviewing budgetary aspects.
Participates in analyzing and using financial data to identify key project subcontractor issues.
Management of subcontractor timecard submittals and updating the timecard template.
Involved in the tracking system to ensure that project management is fully aware of detailed change order status.
Subcontractor Payment: processing payments, collaborating on accuracy and compliance, and approving invoices.
In compliance and auditing, the analyst ensures adherence to financial and invoicing policies and procedures, facilitating internal and external audits related to project finances and addressing findings by implementing necessary corrective actions.
Participates in tracking action items.
Conducts or assists in performance measurement and associated cost trending.
Prepares and assists in various levels of project reporting.
Participates in and may lead project cost review meetings.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS + 0 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with regulatory agencies
Strong understanding of AR/AP/Billing and project facing financial controls guidance
Experience facilitating cost reductions through process and fact-based enhancements
Strong understanding of forecasting, cash flow management and other associated practices
Previous experience in develop, manage, and report Risk/Reward KPI performance

Relocation is not available for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $60,000.00 - $80,000.00.
