Summary You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in the NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, Operations Department, Logistics Support Center (LSC) of NAVSUP FLC NORVA GF. Responsibilities You will serve as a Subsistence Prime Vender (SPV) Specialist and are responsible for functional and operational tasks associated with providing subsistence to support assigned units. You will perform routine duties involving all aspects of acquiring subsistence provisions through Subsistence Prime Vendors. You will be responsible for the local operations of the Subsistence Total Order and Receipt Electronic System (STORES) Web procedures, including processing customer's orders and receipts, updating customer profiles and ensuring process integrity. You will extract, review, and disseminate subsistence reports from the STORES program to internal and external personnel. You will compile reports/data with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements. You will interface between assigned units and Prime Vendor to resolve all subsistence issues from the time of order inception until delivery. You will coordinate scheduled and unscheduled visits by unit representatives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications TO QUALIFY AT THE GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of General Supply Specialist specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analytical work utilizing a practical knowledge of basic and commonly applied supply principles and concepts to assist in the provision of subsistence support to the assigned units and perform as a Subsistence Prime Vendor (SPV) Specialist. Specialized experience also includes a working knowledge and utilization of several automated supply systems such as STORES (Subsistence Total Order & Receipt Electronic System Web), Food Service Management (FSM), and/or Customer Relation Management system (REMEDY) and compiling reports with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements. Experience coordinating with others (e.g. Ships, Port Services, and Prime Vendor) to expedite emergency requirements. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Assist in performing duties involving the acquisition of subsistence provisions through Subsistence Prime Vendors; 2) Assist assigned unit and prime vendor in resolving all subsistence issues from the time of order inception until delivery; 3) Maintain subsistence reports from the STORES program; 4) Assist with the STORE Web procedures, including processing customers' orders and receipts and ensuring the integrity of the records on the SPV process and 5) Intervene for resolution of problems and changes/corrections to the prime vendor catalogs for the installation area. . TO QUALIFY AT THE GS-07 I have at least one year of specialized General Supply Specialist experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal Service or equivalent pay band or equivalent experience in the private sector that demonstrates analytical work utilizing a practical knowledge of basic and commonly applied supply principles and concepts to assist in the provision of subsistence support to the assigned units and perform as a Subsistence Prime Vendor (SPV) Specialist.
