Product Development, Business Information Consultant

The Product Development, Business Information Consultant is responsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations, and providing guidance to other Data Analysts. You will be a member of the Product Development Team and will collaborate with business and technical areas to create or enhance technical products.
How you will make an impact:
Partner with the business to understand data needs and help write requirements for data mart needs, and reporting needs. Write user stories and test the delivery.
Utilize data architecture, and insights to drive requirements to various development teams that could include reporting teams, Microservices, Cloud hosting, etc.
Test products as they are developed using data and write defects using JIRA.
Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.
Develops and analyzes business performance data analysis (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
May require taking business issues and devising the best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
May make recommendations based upon data analysis.
Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership, or external customers. (Data analysis and reporting encompass a much higher level of complexity).

Minimum Requirements:

Ability to manipulate large sets of data strongly preferred.
Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is strongly preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong Analytical skills using large data sets
Attention to detail and being organized while working with many stakeholders to gain consensus
Good organizational skills and good documentation skills to model, or document decisions, open questions, and drive to closure, open items
Experience in working within a Scrum Team delivering business systems software
Experience using Agile delivery tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Trello, etc
Self-driven, detail-oriented, good organization and note-taking skills
SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (SPO/PM) Training or SAFe Fundamentals coursework
(This position title has the word -Consultant- in it to mean that the person in this role is responsible for making recommendations and suggestions on how to solution and solve the problems, not just to perform the analysis. This position is not an order taker. It requires strong data analytical capabilities in order to perform the analysis, and then propose a recommendation based on that analysis).
