NUS Test Engineering Supervisor - (Distribution Network Underground Services)

Job Summary
This position will be responsible for leading and training of a team of test engineering personnel and will provide safety leadership for switching requests, maintenance work scheduling and growing and executing an asset management program for the statewide network system and reporting directly to the Network Underground Reliability Manager. This position will support maintenance and capital projects to include real time tracking of capital and maintenance costs, resource scheduling, organizational focus on accident prevention and risk mitigation, and delivery industry leading processes to improve work quality.

Job Responsibilities
Model and support our Safety Excellence and Human Performance culture.
Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of the Network assets. Ensure completion of all required Network Operations and Reliability activities.
Ensure personnel develop and use safe and efficient work practices to prevent safety and operational incidents. Follow formal written requirements. Conduct thorough and well documented "job briefings".
Ensure personnel are available for response to abnormal events and to restore service to our customers during and after normal work hours, on weekends, and holidays in order to enhance customer value.
Ensure personnel receive proper training to allow them to perform in their current positions and develop them for advancement to positions of increasing responsibility in the future.
Ensure budget goals (engineering, capital, operations and maintenance, tool and test equipment, fleet, and general plant) are met and support Network Underground Services budget goals.

Education
. Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering (Preferred)
. Professional Engineering License (Preferred)
Experience
. Experience in Power Delivery required
At least 5 years of Protection & Control engineering experience preferred.
At least 5 years of Distribution Field engineering experience preferred.
At least 2 years Supervisory and Leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated leadership skills and demonstrated ability to motivate others.
Ability to understand technical issues. Working knowledge of P&CFS and/or Distribution Field Engineering.
Knowledge of company safety procedures and the safe operation of the system.
Working knowledge of budgeting and business management
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Effective in oral and written communications, facilitation of meetings, and able to build and maintain relationships with varied contacts both outside and within the company.

Other Requirements
Valid Driver's License.
Successful candidate must be available to support outages or other abnormal conditions outside of their normal work schedule.
Overnight travel is sometimes required.
Be in the field at least 25% of the time with employees

Must live in/near or be willing to relocate within reasonable distance to Atlanta.
