Caterpillar is seeking an Associate Procurement Professional in Victoria Texas. In this role, you will process requisitions and provide support for purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, cost, price analyses and contract/purchase order generation.
What you can look forward to doing in this role:
Leading a bi-weekly Procurement Compliance update meeting for the Category/site team highlighting key compliance moments as well as purchasing practice changes.
Demonstrating your ability to multitask i.e. analyzing reports, KPI's while supporting the others on the team.
Developing improvement plans to support buyers & professionals related to Response Time, Lean Targets Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) to enable optimal and efficient operations.
Performing analysis and maintenance of assigned processes that produce output excellence, builds expertise for the assign process area, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Supporting customers and customer proposal efforts with pricing information and supplier selection.
Performing analytical and administrative tasks in support of purchasing strategic initiatives.
A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills and have:
A working knowledge in Logistics Management : Demonstrate you working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning tool experience such as SAP.
A basic understanding of Procurement strategies : Be able to share examples of experience in buyer support and invoice grief reporting by monitoring key metrics in the procurement process.
A working knowledge of Effective Communication: Highlight your experience utilizing technology such as Power- BI to present out KPI's, as well as providing critical feedback on project ideas.
A working knowledge of Data Driven Decision Making : Highlight the strategies and tools you have used to gather, analyze, and present out solutions to your teams' complicated problems.
Top Candidates for this position may also have:
Previous experience of purchasing or supply chain experience
Previous 6 Sigma Greenbelt/Black Belt experience.
Knowledge of Quality, Lean manufacturing, an understanding of lean principles
