The Painter II sprays the surfaces of machines, manufactured products or working area with protective or decorative material.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • At SPM Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service

  • Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas at all times

  • Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance

  • Exhibit, advocate, and exemplary safety culture at all times

  • Exhibit a high degree of integrity at all times

  • Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability and solid work ethic

  • Responsible for the preparation of product for painting

  • Preparation of paint supplies for the applicable product

  • Completes daily production logs to meet environmental and safety standards

  • Performs daily preventative maintenance of work area

  • Maintain routine housekeeping to eliminate workplace hazards

  • Paint parts per work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, blueprints, Risk Assessment and job routers

  • Works with Tool Crib Coordinator on inventory levels to ensure production levels are maintained

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Must be able to wear steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and any other required proper protective equipment.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
