GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the general direction of an IS Manager, the IS Applications Development Specialist provides support of CHS-developed computer applications to departments throughout CHS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides support of CHS-developed computer applications by designing, coding, maintaining and enhancing CHS-developed applications to meet the needs of the departments.
Supports customers by resolving problems and recommending application improvements.
Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments.
Promotes and adheres to departmental and organizational information systems security policies, standards and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

None
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant combination of education and experience necessary.
Work experience required based on level of job entry.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like with the exception of visits to the computer room.
