Job Description:
Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
Prepares and maintains records of products shipped and tracks shipments.
Receives incoming materials, unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
Verifies quantity, weight, and condition of materials to stated identifications.
Maintains records of received goods, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on receiving line.
Lifts heavy items and operates material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, scissorlifts, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification.
Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
May perform crate shop functions such as operating power saws and nail guns in building skids and crates.
Quality conscious with accurate counting ability for inventory compliance.
Willing to be flexible to changing priorities.
Strong customer focus.
Essential Functions:
Able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
On-call availability
Able to meet short notice travel requirements
Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Able to work any shift and overtime when needed
Position requires the ability to maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
Requires 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Must be computer literate.
Must have warehouse experience.
Must be willing to accept on call availability.
Must be willing to accept Shift flexibility.
Must be able to travel with little notice.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs
Experience with BSI
Strong verbal and written communication skills
