The Role at a Glance:
As the Proposal Director you will direct key growth activities & resources that are vital to enabling the achievement of Elior North America growth across all segments & brands. You will develop solutions, proposals and presentations that enhance our ability to win new business & retain, while also enabling the effectiveness & productivity of the sales teams & other key input resources to the sales & retention process. This position will report to the Chief Strategy & Growth Officer.
This position is based in Houston, TX in office Mon-Thurs with an option to WFH on Friday.
What you'll be doing:
A key member of the Elior North America Growth Leadership Team that sets the region's strategic growth strategy & direction with supporting best practices & processes in a team-based model
Support New Business & Retention efforts through the oversight of the Bid Management Team and manage the bid process for all pursuits across all segments
Coordinate proposal support & input resources, using effective project management best practices, which include the win strategy for each pursuit coupled with marketing content, solutioning, pricing, legal, proposal production, and operational involvement for all pursuits in a manner that drives organizational effectiveness towards achieving desired results
Document, update and enhance the bid management process with the objective to facilitate the success of the sales team with an eye towards cross-functional organizational effectiveness
Maintain knowledge of important market trends and keep up with industry dynamics
Identifying, resourcing, developing and directing the Bid Proposal Team
Manage the Content Library and bid writing resources to deliver compelling proposals and presentations while also aligning on similar group initiatives as requested
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
Bachelor's degree in related field (Marketing, Journalism, Communications as example) or equivalent experience
10 years' experience in Sales Support or Sales Project Management
Five plus years' experience with proposals, RFP process, and gov't bids
Strong leadership, project management, & communications skills in a team environment
Ability to work across the region & group organizations establishing relationships at all levels
Strong ability to keep track of multiple targets and processes with an eye towards continuous process improvement to drive results & cross-functional organizational effectiveness
Common commercial traits include high work capacity, contact/communication skills and empathy
Dominant traits include structure, collaboration, persistency, focus and goal-orientation
Strong leadership in attracting, retaining & developing the best talent to ensure sustainable success
Proficient on Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro
Nice-to-haves:
Experience in Hospitality and/or contract services in similar environment
Experience with Adobe InDesign preferred
