Refining Process Engineer (ExPat)

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

KBR is looking for a Refining Process Engineer, to help support major Refining capital projects. Candidates must be willing to work initially in the Houston office and then transition to an EPC owner's engineer assignment in China for 16 months+.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Candidates will have experience in PFD development, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, relief valve calculations, flare sizing, and will have experience managing a small or moderate team of Process engineers.

  • Experience in both FEED and Detailed Engineering in the Refining sector is preferred.

  • Prior experience reviewing calculations and answering queries of other contractors is preferred.

  • Ability to speak Chinese is preferred.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience of 15+ years.
