Job Summary:
The Strategy Consultant III will support the evaluation of strategic partners and recommend inorganic investments to accelerate the division's growth initiatives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Work closely with advanced technology product managers to identify potential partners to accelerate our technology development roadmap.
Work closely with the strategy & research manager to evaluate and recommend potential ecosystem partners and VC, JV and acquisition targets.
Maintain database of targets and partners.
Support technical due diligence for VC, JV and acquisitions.
Gather information and assess the market including competitive issues, market dynamics, market service needs and Caterpillar's position in the industry.
Report directly to the corporate development manager.
Basic Requirements:
This position requires a proven performance record in delivering results, working independently, influencing others (both internally and externally) and strong background in Caterpillar's industries and/or advanced power technologies.
Top-quartile analytical and technical skills are required as is the ability to communicate complex technical issues to all levels of the organization.
Education in an engineering field is required.
Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible job-related experience is required.
