JOB OVERVIEW:
As a Marketing Consultant in Construction Industries Services Division (CISD), you will serve as a divisional expert and consultant for the management of marketing communications in support of Go-to-Market Strategy for Aftermarket initiatives and collaborate with business partners to execute the strategy. You will develop marketing communications strategies and provide communications support, using electronic, interactive, and other media in support of sales targets. Working on a team that manages marketing campaigns and initiatives, this role specifically will focus on campaigns for our digital products, global content strategy and asset creation focusing on all customer segments.
JOB DUTIES:
You will develop strategic plans within the marketing communications discipline for key digital initiatives (e.g., parts.cat.com, QR Code, Retail App, Equipment Management) within Construction Industries Services Division. The position is well versed in segmented marketing, channel strategy, lead generation/sales conversion, branding, marketing analytics, and new product/services introduction launches. The position will work globally with local teams who will ultimately implement the plan.
This position is recognized division wide as a resourceful and reliable marketing communication resource focused on engaging customers - creating marketing content and materials for use in external marketing and promotions. Develops strategic marketing communication plans and supports sales promotions development. Provides marcom guidance to internal groups and directs work of outside suppliers and vendors to support the marketing strategy.
What you'll do:
Set global marcom strategy for parts.cat.com/eCommerce working with Sales Execution teams to align with promotional programs.
Work with regional aftermarket marcom team members for parts.cat.com campaign execution and inclusion of parts.cat.com message where applicable across all campaigns. Provide global assets to be regionalized as needed
Develop and execute appropriate marketing campaigns and initiatives including messaging, strategy, and communications focused on the QR code and Retail App initiatives
Develop and execute appropriate marketing campaigns and initiatives including messaging, strategy, and communications focused on Equipment Management collaborating with other business units and other aftermarket departments
Communicate clearly with internal Caterpillar partners and with Cat dealers
Basic project management including managing positive marketing agency relationships
Ensure timely and high-quality development of marketing materials
Create and track compelling opt-in marketing campaigns that enhance coverage efforts and grow qualified leads and marketing attributable sales
Collaborate with other team members in the aftermarket marketing team, global brand team, prime product teams, and product teams across the organization
Suggest and implement new features and ideas that drive awareness and actions from target customers
Manage the compliance of assignments and keeps up to date with new industry trends, customer engagement, and changing consumer behaviors affecting the competitive environment
Work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences.
Manage marketing budget

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Requires a college degree or equivalent experience with 9+ years of marketing experience
Expert in the marketing communications discipline.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality
Must have strong writing/presentation skills and examples of successful communication plans and results.
Solid written and verbal skills necessary
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to deal with issues crossing boundaries or persuade others inside or outside the organization to take action
Understanding of construction industry and aftermarket solutions is preferred but not required
