SCM Materials Distribution Center Supervisor - Forest Park, GA
This position is responsible for directing, planning, and coordinating responsibilities for the Material Distribution Center. This position manages different functions under the MDC: Transformers, Logistics, offsite warehouse, and Warehouse Management. This job supports Distribution, Substation, Transmission, and the Plants with their material needs.
This position is located in Forest Park, GA. The successful candidate should expect to physically be located at the MDC five days per week. Some relocation assistance may be available.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Supervisory or project management experience preferred
Supply Chain Management, Power Delivery, Region, or Accounting experience is strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Good working knowledge, or the ability to quickly learn warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics
Ability to work with bargaining unit employees including strong knowledge of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Company and the IBEW
Must be able to build strong partnerships with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
Strong communication (both oral and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and employees
Must be able to effectively communicate and implement goals, compliance requirements, SCM strategies, policies and procedures with employees and customers
Knowledgeable about company policies, guidelines, and both MDC and region operations
Must be a proven leader and team player, able to make decisions and manage multiple tasks and projects
Must be able to train employees and demonstrate a thorough understanding of performance management and possess good conflict resolution skills

Must be available to report to work in emergencies and SERP restoration efforts
Computer skills including the use of Maximo, Priya, and Microsoft Office

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and manage 16 bargaining unit employees
Operate the MDC with a Safety-First lifestyle where safety takes precedence over all activities
Establish and implement performance goals for exempt and covered employees
Manage multiple inventory locations with an average inventory level of $152 million and through put of $443 million
Plan, direct, and manage activities for MDC to ensure all goals and objectives are met for SCM
Communicate with Region, Transmission, Substation and Power Delivery for all material needs
Supervise and provide performance management to assigned MDC employees
Coordinate and support all activities during SERP restoration
Ensure compliance with safety requirements, OSHA laws, DOT requirements, environmental guidelines, and company policies and procedures
Understand, support, and communicate SCM strategies and directives to employees and customers
Manage the Logistics area to provide efficient, timely and cost-effective deliveries of material to all Regions, Plants and Jobsites
Oversee freight invoices and our dedicated freight carrier invoices ensuring payment in a timely manner
Support GPC and all other OP-CO in storm restoration - this role is subject to 24/7 ability call out as needed
Monitor the Callout Response Team to provide material to restore power to our customers in a timely manner
Manage and coordinate Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities to include inventory management, warehousing, and procurement of contract services
