This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain an Interim DoD Secret level clearance post-employment.
As a mid-level Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer, you will be on a team that is evaluating and managing the delivery of new amphibious ships and landing craft to the fleet. Our team is led by a Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, each having decades of experience working in the DoD and Shipbuilding Industry. Our Amphibious Warfare Operation provides critical services to nearly all U.S. Navy amphibious ships and craft. You will work closely with Government and industry professionals as well as shipbuilders and other support personnel. In this role, you will:
Provide T&E support.
Develop briefs, provides schedule analyses, assists in the drafting of major T&E documentation, reviews CDRLs, coordinates Developmental/Operational/Live Fire T&E (LFT&E) support, and develops and reviews test plans/reports.
Provides administrative support to the assigned ship or landing craft T&E team.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Highschool Diploma or GED plus 5+ years relevant T&E experience in an acquisition environment on DoD/Navy Ship or Craft Programs. Individuals with college degrees or technical school or military certifications and less experience will be considered.
Must be able to obtain an Intrim DoD Secret clearance post-employment.
United States (U.S.) citizenship.
Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility. Some work may occur within an industrial field office, outdoors and/or aboard ship while the ship is undergoing construction, alteration, activation, overhaul, repair, and/or underway trials. Walking and climbing throughout the ship, to accomplish ship checks, may be required. Exposure to high noise levels, uncomfortable temperatures, heights, or other industrial safety conditions will require use of personal protective clothing and equipment.

Additional desired experience and skills:
A Bachelor's Degree is desired.
Relevant U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard experience in the T&E areas of ship acquisition, construction or repair is desired. Relevant Amphibious warship ship and/or craft T&E experience is ideal.
Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act of 1990 (DAWIA) certification is desired.
