The maintenance department for our Morton, IL Distribution center is responsible for over 400 PMs a month, over 400 work orders a month, and we provide nearly 24hr 365-day year support for operations. Our mechanics, electricians, and technicians lead troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for a highly automated and connected warehouse. We manage over 23 miles of light-duty and heavy-duty conveyors and over 40 ASRS material handling cranes. Additionally, we support over a dozen Vision Guided Vehicle robots (Seegrid and OTTO), Autostore (144 robots and 24 ports), along with many other automated types of equipment such as tote exchange, deconsolidation cell, goods to person stations, lantech stretch wrapper, customer box builder and more.
The Second Shift Maintenance Supervisor position is critical to the success of the Morton facility. This position is responsible for: providing maintenance support for operations, janitorial, buildings, grounds, and equipment. Supervising skilled trades craftsmen including electricians, mechanics, and painters. Leading repairs of equipment, coordinating projects with engineering and supporting contracted services as needed. The impact that the maintenance team has on the Morton facility is apparent when considering that the tasks they accomplish enable safe operation of the facility along with proper throughput of material. As with any team, these craftsmen require a leader to help them prioritize tasks, perform in a safe manner, and lead engagement efforts.
Job duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Directly supervising skilled trades employees and contracted technicians.
Providing all maintenance support for operations, janitorial, buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Planning, prioritizing, coordinating, and monitoring facility maintenance activities.
Being responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluations of subordinates.
Reporting project status updates to process owners.
Directing repairs, coordinating projects with engineering, and supporting contracted services as needed.

Additional Information
This is a full-time opening located in Morton, IL.
The core hours for this role will be 3pm to 11pm Monday through Friday with time set aside before and after for shift hand off meeting.
Basic Requirements
Thorough knowledge of various industrial maintenance practices, standards, and systems
3-5 years skilled trades experience (electrician, mechanic,) or applicable industrial maintenance experience
Will consider applicable engineering field such as mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical.
Competent and functional with Microsoft based applications.
Top Candidates Will Also Have
Graduation from an applicable Journeyman program
College or university certification or degree in a related field is desired.
Prior experience in a supervisory or lead role
High initiative along with strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
