Summary You will serve as a Supply Technician (HAZMAT) in the Supply Management of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will collect and maintain hazardous material operations and usage data, preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports utilizing multiple automated databases. You will work with customers to avoid excess material and process automated database transactions to remove excess material from inventory records. You will maintain automated inventory records by conducting periodic physical inventories of hazardous material ensuring all stock records are accurate and resolve/correct differences as necessary. You will utilize a knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions related to hazardous material locker, inventory management, storage, receipt, issue, and excess processing. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate: I have at least one year of specialized experience performing Supply Technician (Hazmat) work equivalent to the GS- 6 grade level or equivalent pay band level in the Federal Service performing technical supply support work necessary to ensure the effective operation of ongoing Hazmat supply activities. Specific duties include: 1. Applying a thorough working knowledge of governing supply and hazardous material management regulations, policies, methods and procedures to perform a wide assortment of complex supply transactions, inventory management, and warehouse functions; 2. Perform inventory management and requisition in a variety of automated supply systems; 3. Maintain inventory records and perform physical inventories to ensure accuracy of records; 4. Provide customers with information on the proper handling of hazardous material, maintain up-to-date and accurate records in regards to HAZMAT related materials and processing customer requests for hazardous materials.
