The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add an experienced, motivated production manager to our Trio Community Meals team in Baltimore, MD. As a production Manager, you will have the opportunity to supervise the food production process including purchasing, food specifications, meal preparation, service and sanitation. The Production Manager Coordinates the activities of the Food Service Production Department to provide outstanding dining options to our contracted client. Directs and organizes food preparation activities related to purchasing and distribution while ensuring adherence to sanitation standards and safety practices.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing all production throughout the kitchen.
- Working closely with cooks during production and prep.
- Making sure all staff are consistently following food safety guidelines.
- Producing Production sheets for daily production.
- Placing truck orders for procurement.
- Occasionally taking inventory.
- Responsible for Closing and locking up the facility at the end of the day following Closing/cleaning checklists.
- Checking out all employees at the end of the day.
- Handling the kitchen floor during all production.
- Making sure all we are meeting all delivery times for food delivery.
- Working with all staff on training and food safety.
- Working with staff and helping them perform their tasks more efficiently.
- Making sure all production is prepped and completed, ready for the following morning deliveries.
- Monitoring all walk-ins, making sure they are cleaned, the product is consistently being rotated, all food is properly labeled and stored, and all product is being used up efficiently; avoiding waste.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
Minimum 2 years experience in culinary preparations (large volumes preferable).
Demonstrated ability to manage a large kitchen staff.
Demonstrated ability to relate well to individuals and groups with widely varying backgrounds, perspectives, education, and skills is required.
Excellent work record, superior communication, cooperation, and organizational skills required.
Proficient in placing food and paper orders.
Ability to organize workloads and meet time deadlines.
Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft software programs.

The salary range is $50-70k/yr. dependent on experience.
