Role Definition
This position is responsible for reconciling and synchronizing inventory records provided by inventory record counters with common inventory management systems. (MAMM/MACH1) Inventory Record Accuracy - performing 100% to annual corporate target.
Responsibilities
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for the overall planning and managing of the facility's IRA program and assisting with the Corporate IDA program.
The Inventory Analyst is also responsible for IRA metric compilation and reporting to senior management on a monthly basis.
In addition to this core role, Inventory Analysts are responsible for taking pro-active steps to improve inventory records accuracy, drive issue ownership and escalation, etc. through cross functional engagement, root cause investigation and corrective action process.
This role also supports ad hoc count requests from other functional groups to conduct discrepancy / hot counts and IDA Counts. An additional role performed by the Inventory Analyst is the reconciler / root cause investigator.
The primary role of the inventory Analyst is to resolve the inventory differences through proper root cause analysis and subsequent system inventory adjustments.
Inventory Analyst needs to have deep system knowledge in order to efficiently perform preliminary investigation before the issue is handed over to the true owner of the issue.
This position will interact closely with Material Planning Analysts, Material Requirements Planning Team Leads and Supervisors, Material Handlers and facility operations personnel to collaborate on reconciliation and synchronization across multiple systems.
Degree Requirement
Bachelor's degree related to Supply Chain, or equivalent experience desired
Skills You Must Have
Core Application Systems: Level Working Knowledge
Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Level Extensive Experience
Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Relationship Management: Level Basic Understanding
Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Data Gathering and Reporting: Level Working Knowledge
Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
Inventory Management - MFG: Level Extensive Experience
Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.
Materials Handling and Management: Level Working Knowledge
Knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage, transportation and handling of raw and hazardous materials.
Supply Chain Management - MFG: Level Working Knowledge
Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.
Top Candidates Will Also Have
Experience in material planning, supply chain, material handling and logistics, and / or manufacturing operations
Knowledge of Inventory Record Accuracy practices and key inventory management systems is required.
6 Sigma Project experience
CPS Functional Job Role Qualified
APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification highly desired
