Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Technician in the Warehouse Division, Key West Detachment of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates and establish the order of warehouse functions to be performed. You will maintain warehouse materials in accordance with the established warehousing storage plan. You will provide direction to personnel to accomplish workload by making daily decisions pertaining to material placement, movement, receipt processing and material shipment requirements. You will process shipments based on issues from stock or from customers, in accordance with packaging and transportation regulations. You will evaluate operations and review completed work and reports to ensure quality and quantity standards are being met. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience performing Supply Technician work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a practical knowledge of the organizational structure of the overall supply system, supply functions and procedures related to the physical movement, storage, receipt and accountability of materials and supplies. I also have experience utilizing a knowledge of warehouse planning, transportation methods and modes, financial stock management, receipt documentation and processing procedures. I have the ability to analyze problems and develop methods and procedures to solve them. I have experience performing various aspects of management, and am able to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. I have experience organizing, prioritizing, clarifying and distributing work among team members. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Establishing the order of warehouse material receiving, issuing, shipping, and storage functions; 2) Providing guidance to other personnel in the use of various computer supply systems (such as ERP) used for verifying inventory levels, processing material receipts, determining stock locations, and obtaining required supply processing information; 3) Processing material shipments in accordance with packaging and transportation regulations, such as: ensuring material is properly packaged to prevent damage, and confirming all applicable transportation documentation is affixed to or within the shipping container; 4) Confirming that material in the warehouse is stored in locations which provide ease of handling/movement and protection from damage, deterioration, and pilferage; also determine when it is necessary to consolidate and rearrange items to keep high traffic areas in warehouse clear of obstructions; and 5) Resolving problems, reassigning personnel within division, and coordinating work among workers to maintain progress and ensure schedules are met.
