Join Caterpillar Inc. as the Systems Integration Engineer Team Lead for the Backhoe Loader (BHL) revolutionizing our BHL machines. With your expertise, you will drive the integration of cutting-edge software control systems, advanced display systems, and intuitive operating controls. You'll define and refine electronic control feature requirements, collaborate with innovative software teams to deliver top-notch content, and bring it all to life with hands-on, on-machine validation. What You Will Do:

  • Lead and mentor small team of Integration Engineers (2 to 4).

  • Work with Commercial Team to document and gather tech requirements.

  • Coordinate with Software Teams for Content and Delivery dates.

  • On machine validation of software (displays and embedded controls).

  • Guide development of electrical/electronic components.

  • Gather and analyze control channel traces.

  • Tuning of Power Management, Transmission, Implement, Hystat, etc.

  • Skills with Vector Canape & Canalyzer, service & programming tool & data loggers.

  • Work with Assembly Line to support controls programming.

  • Support IPV and Hot Test on the Assembly Line.

  • Update/track software revisions on Prove Design/Pilot machine fleet.

  • Report out to wider group about your team's activities/results.

What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering

  • Proficient leading and developing diverse teams across multiple locations, fostering collaboration and alignment towards common objectives. Demonstrated ability to understand and respect cultural differences is crucial for effective global leadership.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams, stakeholders, and suppliers. Willing and able to collaborate with international teams in various time zones.

  • Proven ability to understand the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate development with a wide range of system teams.

  • Significant challenges facing incumbents are keeping up to date with technology and demonstrating technical expertise in controls. Technical leadership skills are essential, and the incumbent must communicate effectively across the organizations.

  • 15% Travel International (UK, India, Brazil)
