Position Description
Serco is seeking a junior-level analyst to provide support to the Army Research Lab (ARL) Strategic Partnerships Office in Adelphi, MD. The Technical Transfer Analyst will be part of the T2 team.The T2 team consists of around 6 people and is supporting similar type of work pertaining to outreach and partnerships with the Army Research Lab.The location will be in APG or Adelphi, MD with some remote potential.
This will involve supporting the ARL Technology Transfer (T2) Team with the tracking, negotiation, and execution of T2 mechanisms and agreements on behalf of ARL. The incumbent will be required to work with and advise ARL researchers on the various T2 mechanisms available to support their research objectives and maintain T2 office knowledge management systems to track all planned, ongoing, and completed partnership agreements and outcomes.
In this role, you will:
Comprehend the hierarchal structure of the organization and identify POC's for functional units or processes
Engage with ARL researchers to understand partnership requirements and support all steps with initial coordination, agreement processing, termination, amendment and tracking activities and successes that emerge from ARL partnerships
Prepare final agreement packages for approval by the T2 Team lead and the ARL Director (SES)
Input all partnership data and metrics into the T2 knowledge management systems and ensure all data is current
Prepare reports for weekly T2 meetings, monthly DEVCOM reports, quarterly internal reports and annual reports on ARL partnerships and metrics
Provide updated data and information for the ARL strategic communications teams for the ARL websites, public affairs office, and ARL briefings as needed
Assist the T2 Team lead in developing strategy and technical approaches for new initiatives and take an active role in monitoring the programs once they are implemented
Organization, accountability, flexibility, and ability to work independently are essential qualities for success
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
Bachelor's Degree (will consider an Associates degree and 2additional years of relevant experience)
0 - 2 years of skills and experience in business operations or in a science and technology related field
Requires an individual who can adapt to a deadline driven and team-oriented environment while conducting a high degree of coordination with research staff and laboratory leadership
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledgeable of technology transfer mechanisms and partnership agreements executed by ARL, including current knowledge of management tools and databases used by the Army research community to track agreements and activity metrics
Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite with demonstrated experience and ability to learn and operate other web-based software tools for customer and data management
Good communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively convey information across organizational levels, to successfully engage with external partners,such as industry and academia,
Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills
Open to innovative thinking andthe ability to describe complex issues
Solidorganizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
