Job Description:
As a Chief Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for all technical aspects of sustaining the block 10.2 and Meadowlands electronic warfare weapons system. You'll work closely with the United States Space Force and program leadership to ensure warfighters are supplied with the technical support they need to perform their duties. You will be expected to lead a team of systems engineers through system updates, maintenance actions, field support, obsolescence of components, and numerous other efforts.
Ideal candidate would have a working level of knowledge of radio frequency communications, digital signal processing, electronics, and fiber optics.
Essential Functions:
Provide technical planning and leadership to the program.
Lead and plan baseline update efforts ensuring all engineering changes are thoroughly checked, documented, and implemented as planned.
Present work to internal/external leadership in detailed briefings such as FRBs, RCAs, etc.
Provide support and final technical review to engineering documents such as specifications, interface control documents, test procedures, configuration documents, etc.
Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
Analyze/system/electrical/electronic components, control systems, interfaces of custom and commercial products used in communication systems.
Analyze system needs to identify system/component performance & capacity requirements, & cost for development, repair, or replacement of system components.
Recommend, specify, system modifications & system component replacements to meet those requirements.
Analyze/evaluate systems & recommend design modifications or equipment repair/process.
Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment.
Inspect electronic equipment, instruments, & systems to make sure they meet safety standards and applicable regulations.
Select equipment and construct test benches to evaluate designs to specifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
Experience in leading multi-disciplined technical teams.
Expertise in Electrical, RF, or Mechanical engineering.
Active TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience in electronic warfare systems and/or counter communications.
Experience with customer interface and creating presentations.Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, ability to interact with a cross functional team, act as customer interface.
Experience collaborating across all levels of leadership.
Experience with project management aspects of programs (cost account management/earned value management system, estimating costs, managing schedules).
Experience with performing/writing procedures on testing virous specifications on Receive and Transmit loop backs, Low Noise Amplifiers, Pre-Amplifiers, High Power Amplifiers, Frequency Converters, and Frequency Synthesizers.
Experience with RF/Microwave Device testing and evaluation including s-parameter, large signal characterization as well as modulated signal measurements.
Experience with cascade/link budget analysis of Gain, Noise Figure, Noise Power, 3rd order Intercept Point, output power, EIRP etc.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $128,000 - $238,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
