Selected candidates will work with regional Natural Resource Ecologist across several Missouri State Parks in northeastern Missouri. Selected candidates will primarily assist with invasive plant control and fire-line prep, but will have the opportunity to assist with other natural resource stewardship operations including prescribed fire and glade and woodland restoration. Crew-members will build experience with various resource stewardship techniques including chainsaw operation, herbicide application, ORV operation, fire-line installation, and tree girdling/felling. Technicians will have the opportunity to participate in botanical surveys and other monitoring projects as available.
