The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible to the Director of Talent Engagement for the management of the internal and external recruitment efforts. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for creatively sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessing, selecting and extending job offers to qualified candidates that fit the culture and values of the credit union. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will fill open positions with the most qualified candidates in the most efficient manner that maintains a reasonable time to fill.
Responsible and Accountable for:
Conducts valid skill-based screening interview for prospective team members to recommend for further review and hiring for open positions within the credit union.
Seeks out new and creative ideas to proactively attract candidates through social media posts, resume mining, outreach efforts, college/university recruitment, career fairs, website postings, special recruiting events and other position advertising methods. Remains current with the latest recruiting techniques and solutions.
Manage applicant pool utilizing applicant tracking software, maintains vacancy listing.
Manages team member referral program, and ensures payment of referral bonus outlined in the program.
Maintain contact with internal team members (Managers, Directors and Senior Leaders) to develop a thorough understanding of the position requirements and department culture, thereby helping candidates to fully understand the opportunity and ensure the best selection.
Brand ambassador of the credit union, promoting our story and benefits of employment to prospective team members within our communities and to members.
Works with Talent Development Team to obtain training plan for all new hires and newly promoted team members to ensure their success in the role.
Makes offers of employment to internal and external candidates reviewing the position offered, salary, benefits, training, and the on-boarding process. Provides feedback for internal candidates not selected.
Manages internal job postings, external employment ads, and the recruitment and use of temporary staffing needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to conduct valid skill and behavioral based interviews to ascertain applicant's knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties of the position for which they are interviewing.
Ability to understand and accurately describe duties, responsibilities and team environments to applicants to ensure they have a solid understanding of the position they are applying for.
Ability to work with all levels of team members and management to fill open positions within the credit union.
Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail and multitasker.
Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Education and Experience:
Education: College degree in related field required.
Experience:1-3 years experience in Human Resources; preferably in Recruitment.
Experience using social media for sourcing/recruiting, building relationships and contributing to an overall recruitment strategy/brand.
