Responsible to the Branch Manager, the Relationship Specialist is part of a highly skilled service team, committed to unlocking the potential of individuals and families so they can thrive. Relationship Specialists work collaboratively with Chartway team members to create personal experiences and provide financial solutions for Chartway's members.

Responsibleand Accountable for:

  • Creates an environment of exceptional member service that provides sound financial wellness and consultative advice for our members

  • Develops and builds relationships with Chartway's member base through proactive outreach and follow up

  • Proactively collaborates and communicates with the branch team and other departments to successfully find solutions for members

  • Easily transitions between job functions and responsibilities within the branch to effectively respond to members' needs

  • Responsible for positively representing Chartway in the community

  • Efficiently & accurately performs member transactions and can easily assist members with new account establishment, personal financing, real estate lending, investment referrals, and small business deposit products

  • Accountable for branch operations, compliance, best practices, and federal regulations

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to develop strong relationships in a warm and professional manner

  • Proficient oral, written, and communication skills

  • Respond, establish, and maintain control when handling challenging situations

  • Demonstrated sense of ownership and ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to understand and be aware of possible suspicious activities or transactions by members or by team members, directors, executives, or officers of the credit Union. Promptly notify management as required by credit union policy if unusual activity is observed which could be an indication of financial crime or efforts to evade reporting requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act or other laws and regulation

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Associate's or equivalent experience

  • Experience: 1-3 years' experience in in providing top notch customer service, imaginative problem resolution and relationship building

The Credit Officer - Consumer Lending is responsible to the Director of Consumer Lending for the consumer lending decision-making process.

Responsible andAccountable for:

  • Ensures compliance with all Federal and State regulations and Credit Union policies with regard to credit granting.

  • Responsible for timely review and decision of all indirect loans, adhering to credit granting parameters and lending authority limits.

  • Maintain level of delinquency below specified threshold to demonstrate ability to make lending decisions that are in the best interest of the credit union.

  • Develop rapport and positive relationships with indirect finance managers in an to enhance production and yield results.

Knowledge, Skills andAbilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively all lending decisions and counter offers.

  • Ability to review a variety of reports for trends and make recommendations to management from the data.

  • Ability to work outside of scheduled hours as needed to ensure loans are decisioned in a timely manner; this includes network issues and inclement weather closures.

  • Available for coverage during scheduled hours including some evenings, weekends, and holidays

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Associates degree or equivalent experience.

The Data Engineer would be responsible for development and operations of the data warehouse, and overall data environment management for the credit union. Job Type: Full-time

The Loss Mitigation Supervisor reports directly to the Loss Mitigation Manager. Areas of responsibility include working with delinquent accounts through the various functions within Loss Mitigation. The Loss Mitigation Supervisor will be responsible for training, coaching, motivating, recognizing, account reviews, assigning queues, and monitoring work daily in support of department goals.

Responsible and Accountable for:

  • Maintaining a continuous presence.

  • Conducting account level research and monitoring call quality to promote superior service.

  • Handling escalated member calls and providing problem resolution.

  • Effectively supervising and coaching phone-based team members in a fast paced environment.

  • Partner to resolve issues within the Loss Mitigation team and remove barriers.

  • Monitor daily queue coverage and phone staffing needs.

  • Drive morale and identify ways to recognize strong performance.

  • Host and participate in team meetings to ensure communication is consistent and timely.

  • Participate during candidate interviews when recruitment needs arise.

  • Meet all required deadlines.

  • Achieving department delinquency and charge off goals while operating within budgetary guidelines.

  • Oversees scorecards monthly

  • Other projects as assigned by the Loss Mitigation Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required for interfacing with staff and management.

  • Strong leadership skills to ensure that full staffing, consistent remote monitoring, thorough queue audits, adequate training, and staff development needs are met.

  • Analytical ability to understand, interpret, and develop various reports and data.

  • Ability to understand and interpret goals.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

  • Demonstrate ability to remain calm in emotional tense situations.

  • Maintain a professional work demeanor and environment at all times.

  • Able to work flexible hours to meet the demands and needs of the team.

  • Exceptional judgment in offering customer service to members, adhering to policy, complying with Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and other applicable regulations, while protecting the credit union assets by identifying opportunities to reduce losses.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with effective collections on delinquent accounts, recovery and repossession.

  • Ability to prioritize work and remain organized.

  • May be asked to fill in for the Loss Mitigation Manager during vacations or other temporary requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • At least three years of collections or loss mitigation experience.

  • At least one year experience in coaching or in development of team members.

  • Previous Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Strong collection insight to direct third party agencies to deliver desired results.
