The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible to the Learning & Development Manager to provide an exceptional learning experience. The Learning & Development Specialist delivers effective training programs to immerse team members into the Chartway culture and prepare Chartway team members to provide exceptional member service, promote products/services, and operate company systems/software applications.
Responsibleand Accountable for:
Delivery of training using a variety of training methods including both classroom and virtual classroom delivery
Responsible for the overall learning experience and learner engagement
Continuously reviews and proactively updates training programs and delivery methods
Determines and implements best delivery methods and approaches for materials
Assesses effectiveness of training programs through a variety of methods and implements necessary changes
Provides effective feedback to foster the growth and development of others
Makes recommendations to continuously improve internal processes, standards, and training solutions
Proactively collaborates and communicates with appropriate internal/external stakeholders to address training gaps to optimize organizational performance
Maintains knowledge of current training techniques: researches new/better ways to promote internal training
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills before large groups, preferably in a classroom or virtual classroom setting
Creativity with strong presentation skills and the ability to inspire team members
Demonstrated ability to absorb information quickly and translate to a variety of audiences.
Strong team player with the ability to organize, prioritize, handle time constraints and manage changing priorities
Strong project management and execution skills
Highly organized and detail oriented
Proficient with MS Office - PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint
Able to handle confidential information with discretion
Knowledge of credit union policies, procedures and processes related to the credit union and the product and services it offers
Available to travel to out-of-state locations to deliver/learn training programs, as necessary
Educationand Experience:
Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience: 2 years experience in designing and delivering training programs
