Job Summary

The Electrification & Energy Solutions Division is looking for a System Integration Technical Lead that will be part of the E&T Integrated Design Solutions team with accountability for integrating batteries, motors, inverters, power converters, and associated control systems into electrified power solutions for Energy &Transportation applications.

This person will work with our E&T Industry partners including IPSD, Marine, Electric Power, D&FP, Oil & Gas and Rail to define and execute the enterprise strategy for Electrification. This will include working with system architects and simulation experts to define electrified power source architecture concepts, execute system evaluations and optimizations, and complete trade-off assessments on attributes such as performance, energy efficiency, customer Total Cost of Ownership, and R&D timeline / investment.

The candidate will then work with and across E&T to define system requirements based on Voice of Customer, Voice of Business, and Voice of Regulation and identify nodes of opportunity for leveraged system and component development. They will support product development activities throughout the NTI and NPI program phases, providing technical leadership for concept studies, technical demonstrators, commercial demonstrators, and NPI programs. This person will define and validate full Electrification solutions for our E&T Industry partners as they develop products to meet their customers' GHG emissions reduction goals.

Relevant Experience

  • Electric or mechanical drivetrain systems (design or simulation)

  • Motor / generator systems (design or simulation)

  • Power electronics / power conversion systems and controls (design or simulation)

  • Hydraulic system (design or simulation)

  • Machine or systems controls

  • Machine integration, performance, or simulation

  • Energy Storage and Battery Develop (design or simulation)

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field)

  • 12+ years of product development experience (NPI, NTI, CPI) in machine or system area

  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Top Qualifications

  • Experience in performance, simulation, and controls at a system level

  • Power electronics or electric machine design; electric drive systems design, modeling and/or simulation

  • High voltage electrical system integration experience

  • E&T systems and application experience

  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading high new-content, high business impact programs.

  • This role will be located in Mossville, IL, Lafayette, IN or Aurora, IL

  • Relocation assistance is available for this role

  • This position may require up to 15% travel
