L3Harris corporation is seeking a motivated quality minded quality technician to ensure compliance of manufacturing standards, processes, and procedures are accurately followed and properly documented during the production of hardware. This individual will perform in process and final inspection of electrical and/or mechanical components and systems for government programs in accordance with drawings, work orders and specifications. Works autonomous, may act as a mentor to lower level peers and provide guidance on tasks. Enforce quality policies among team. Utilizes knowledge to identify defects in workmanship and/or performance. Follow established processes to complete tasks. Identify problems and issues in straightforward situations. Capture and maintain configuration records, perform in-process and final inspections per paper and electronic work orders. Make recommendations for solutions. Uses electronic equipment to collect and evaluate operating data necessary for the successful operation of the unit. May be required to commute between facilities.
Required Qualifications:
Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must be flexible to changing needs and priorities, must be able to work in a team environment. Strong people skills are a must.
Experienced in mechanical hardware inspection and complex inspection from ground module assemblies.
Detail Oriented and customer focused.
Excellent Communication and People skills, both oral and written
Good computer skills essential for accessing drawings, documenting non-conformances, and work order documentation.
Ability to work overtime, including weekends, on short notice and for possible long durations to support contractual delivery schedules.
Candidate must be self-starter and practice excellent customer service.
Able to multi-task and work as both an independent contributor and/or a team member.
