Job Description:
L3Harris Broadband Communications is seeking an Material Handler- Shipping departmentfor their Team in Salt Lake City, UT. In this role you will pick material, pack materials, count materials, weigh materials, measure materials, and inventory materials.
Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the receiving, storing, picking and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary
Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications
Stock and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines
May lift heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification
Remains stationary for for extended periods of time
Attends work on time and as scheduled
Works weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of experience directly related experience with Inventory Management, OR Material Handling, OR Store Supply in a manufacturing company
Experience using small hand tools, manual and automated; and color coded information
Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements
