Job Summary:
The primary duties of the Construction Laborer are to assist with the installation of power distribution generator equipment within the specifications of the project. The Construction Laborer will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of his/her crew members along with the completion of each project they are assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills)
Minimum one year of experience as a general laborer or skilled trades apprentice.
Valid Driver's License.
Ability to proficiently read and communicate in English.
Must be willing and able to travel 75-85%+ as required (driving company vehicle and/or fly commercially if necessary).
Possess an in-depth knowledge of construction processes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain safe and healthy work sites by following company standards and procedures while complying with legal requirements.
Properly use hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
Proficiently learn all aspects of the installation process.
Properly communicate with Senior Staff to ensure each project is installed correctly, safely, and in accordance with determined timelines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Travel required (75-85%+), must be willing and able to drive company vehicle and/or fly commercially if necessary.
Must be able to stand or walk for 3-4 hours at a time.
Must possess the manual dexterity to operate hand tools.
Work environment may include, but are not limited to the following: Exposure to weather in varying climates, exposure to noise intensity levels, exposure to energized electrical equipment, exposure to overhead hazards (crane & rigging), and exposure to heavy machinery.
