The Packager position is responsible for performing the necessary tasks involved in the filling and packaging of Company products, following standard work methods in accordance with Company policy and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is efficient, accurate and as safe as possible.
Work from written worksheets and verbal instructions to assemble, fill and pack containers.
Operate filling, packing and weighing equipment.
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move products and skids.
Work with the Team Leader to plan, coordinate and control packing and filling activities, keeping him/her informed of work order status (e.g. estimated time of completion, etc.).
Follow all safety regulations and utilize the appropriate safety equipment provided
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
Special projects upon request
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Minimum one (1) year manufacturing experience preferred.
Demonstrated familiarity with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
