This ISSE position requires at least a DoD TopSecret (SCI Eligible) clearance and located in Colorado Springs, CO.ResponsibilitiesThe Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) will support theEnterprise Ground Services (EGS) program providing expertise and supportin network security engineering and/or integration of security products.This is a fast-paced and highly challenging position where you will be amember of a team. The ISSE is responsible for ensuring the appropriateoperational security posture is maintained for the assigned IT programsupport. This includes the following activities related to maintainingsituational awareness and initiating actions to improve or restorecybersecurity posture. The ISSE:Implements and enforce all AF cybersecurity policies, procedures, andcountermeasuresCompletes and maintains required cybersecurity certification IAW AFMAN 17-1303Individuals in this position must be U.S. citizensEnsures all users have the requisite security clearances and need-to-know,complete annual cybersecurity training, and are aware of theirresponsibilities before being granted access to the IT according to AFMAN17-13Maintains all authorized user access control documentation IAW the applicableAF Records Information Management SystemEnsures software, hardware, and firmware complies with appropriatesecurity configuration guidelines (e.g., security technical implementationguides /security requirement guides)Ensures proper configuration procedures are followed prior to implementationand contingent upon necessary approval. Coordinate changes or modificationswith the system-level ISSM, SCA, and/or the Wing Cybersecurity officeInitiates protective or corrective measures, in coordination with theISSM, when a security incident or vulnerability is discoveredReports security incidents or vulnerabilities to the system-level ISSM andwing cybersecurity office according to AFI 17-203, Cyber Incident HandlingInitiates exceptions, deviations, or waivers to cybersecurity requirementsTravel 20%Education/QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineeringor a related technical field is desired, or equivelent training andexperience.Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certificationor able to obtain one in 12 monthsTop Secret clearance required; SCI eligibleMinimum of 15 years planning, designing, developing, integrating,testing and/or deploying secure information technologyExperience working with DoD and/or Intelligence Community (IC) spacesystem acquisition programsUnderstanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD / ICcybersecurity requirements, policies and best practicesExperience in IT Security including requirements, architecture and designFTI is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
