Job Summary:

As a Wiring Team Lead, you will drive excellence and improve efficiency of assembly wiring technicians within their team through effective leadership and escalation of production issues to the appropriate personnel within the organization. They will support company initiatives, monitor, and report metric related information as scheduled, developed, and implement production schedule recovery strategies with management, and be an active part of continue improvement process.

What you will do:

  • Identify quality, staffing, safety, and production issues and brings them to the immediate attention of the Section Manager and other appropriate personnel within the organization (Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Facilities Maintenance, Information Technology (IT), and Quality departments) as needed

  • Responsible for ensuring that their team member receive the proper training, guidance, assistance, tools, and materials they require to be successful members of the CSA production team

  • Assist with creating, training, implementing, and updating of Standardized Work processes and documentation

  • Safely deliver high quality product to customers in a timely manner

  • Maintain the production schedule through prioritizing job assignments

  • Help develop and implement production schedule recovery strategies with management

  • Respond to calls from other work centers and dispatches support resources as needed

  • Fill in for other Team Leads or Team Members as required

  • Ensures products are manufactured according to the company standards book and engineering specifications

  • Eliminate defects and process inefficiencies through proper documentation, investigation, and root cause / corrective action analysis using CSA systems.

  • Support and document daily 5S housekeeping activities and keep all areas safe, clean, and orderly

  • Monitor and audit PQVC metrics at the cell level in their area, e.g., audits performance compared to standard work, significant control points, and area indicators

  • Own metrics for the given area and be accountable for each operation's metric accuracy and timeliness of the reporting. Collect data and update metrics information as needed

  • Responsible for generating and working continuous improvement ideas for all ideas related to their assigned area

  • Participate in process improvement dialogs

  • Participate in RIWs for their assigned area of responsibility

  • Partner with the Section Manager in implementation of changes needed to achieve future state value stream map

  • Other tasks as assigned by management

What you will have:

  • Must display and demonstrate strong team leadership skills

  • Must possess willingness and ability to perform tasks and assign tasks to others

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Must be able to interface with vendors and others delivering and taking materials to and from the facility

  • Must be able to interface with the Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Facilities Maintenance, Information Technology (IT), and Quality departments to resolve issues encountered

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite products

  • 2-3 years' experience reading and working with drawings and schematics

  • 3 years of combined panel wiring experience and quality control

What would make you a top candidate:

  • Familiar with CAD systems

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Advanced knowledge of AC/DC Voltages, CSA standards, drawings, and wiring practices.

  • Understand and able to troubleshoot, identify and resolve any issues according to CSA drawings and standards

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods

  • Ability to perform repetitive operations

  • Ability to lift to 35 lbs.

Shift

  • Monday - Friday; 5am - 3:30 PM. Required overtime as needed
