We are hiring aremotepart-time Advisory Product Support Analyst to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Port Hueneme Division (PHD) 0perations (OPS) to achieve technical and program execution, policy implementation, strategic objectives, and process improvements. In this role, you will provide technical oversight and leadership to civilian personnel in the functional areas of process, policy, fleet support, logistics lead support, workforce development, Model Based Product Support (MBPS) implementation, and strategic planning. You will predominantly focus on the facilitation and execution of all logistics product and process improvement efforts across the Command to strengthen logistics/product support technical capabilities and competencies, and ensure Command/Competency strategic alignment, resources, and training are available to meet customer demands. Responsibilities
Assists with gathering internal stakeholders to identify specific communication and actions needed to prepare the NSWC PHD PS&L workforce for planned legacy system shut down.
Supports planned measures for success relating to MBPS and/or enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (ePLM) implementation.
Supports PS&L Competency to ensure Command/Competency strategic alignment, resources, and training are available to meet customer demands.
Supports the facilitation and execution of PS&L product and process improvement efforts across the Command to strengthen PS&L technical capabilities and competencies.
Reviews and updates PS&L Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provides technical expertise and recommendations with the reorganization and roll out of MBPS regarding documentation of processes and procedures, along with PS&L Community of Practices (CoP) alignment.
Supports the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Back to Basics roll out.
Leads workforce development and policy operations while providing a disciplined program management approach and successful execution of tasking well in advance of deadlines.
Provides technical oversight and excel in innovative leadership to civilian personnel in the functional areas of process, policy, fleet support, PS&L leadership support, workforce development, MBPS/ePLM implementation, and strategic planning support.
Assists with the effort to continuously assess, develop, and promulgate PS&L technical processes in support of the Command's Technical Process Health Sustainment efforts as well as with the development of PS&L Training Qualification Standards (TQSs).
Cultivates and fosters successful interaction with both internal and external customers in a professional and diplomatic fashion that promote and protect the interests of the Navy.
Education/Qualifications
Required:
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain U.S. Dept. of DefenseSecretclearance.
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
10+ years of Dept. of Defense related weapons/combat systems logistics experience.
10+ years of technical writing expertise.
Solid understanding of the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Systems Engineering Process.
Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to successfully lead and/or collaborate with internal and external customers.
Project & time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Proficiency in Agile Project Management tools, MS Teams, and MS Planner.
Strong MS Excel skills, including data analysis and data mining.
Working knowledge of DoD and NAVSEA policies, processes, and procedures.
Ability to work remotely.
Preferred:
U.S. citizenship and active U.S. Dept. of DefenseSecretclearance.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Logistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
Understanding of Lean-Agile methodology.
DAWIA lifeccycle logistics (LCL) level 3 certification.
