Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Senior Contracts manager to support our Anaheim, CA and Philadelphia, PA sites. This position can operate from our Anaheim or Philadelphia office with some travel. This position is responsible for managing contracts primarily for power systems for the nuclear power submarine which includes all aspects of contracts administration, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations (FAR/DFARS).
Essential Functions:
Manages a professional contracts staff located in Philadeliphia and Anaheim
Provides guidance, coaching and traiing to other employees in the MPES Contract function.
Manages large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization involving cross-functional teams.
Performs individual contributor work on programs located in Anaheim, California.
Drafts, reviews, and negotiates contracts, ensuring that terms and conditions align with company policies and legal requirements.
Manages contract lifecycle from initiation through execution, renewal, and closeout.
Ensures contracts comply with FAR/DFAR requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
Maintains accurate and organized contract documentation and records.
Identifies and mitigates potential risks associated with contract and performance metrics.
Collaborates with internal functions and customers to negotiate terms and resolve disputes.
Works closely with program team, peers, and legal department to resolve contractual and/or legal issues as they surface.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
Experience as a Contracts lead.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of the FAR and DFARS.
Broad management and leadership skills to lead cross-functional project teams
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience in working with Government Contracts
Good analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
Proven experience presenting to large groups and leadership
Capability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
