Overview
Cadence13 is seeking a VP of TV/Film Development. This position comes with the opportunity to help lead the creative and business development of the Cadence13 original IP business, within C13Originals and C13Features studios, respectively, in TV and film.
C13Originals, the Peabody-nominated documentary audio studio, has directed and produced hits such as Gangster Capitalism, Gone South, It Was Said, Hope Through History, Relative Unknown, Long May They Run, No Place Like Home and more. C13Features, the innovative "podcast movie" studio launched in 2021, includes the first hits, Treat (starring Kiernan Shipka) and Ghostwriter (starring Kate Mara and Adam Scott), and was quickly profiled in the NYT. following these two launches.
The VP of TV/Film Development opportunity is located in Los Angeles and will report directly into the Chief Content Officer.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
The primary responsibilities of the VP of TV/Film Development of Cadence13 will be:
Develop and curate unique creative concepts, angles and an overall vision for C13 feature and documentary IP from our C13Originals and C13Features studios, respectively, for television and film story adaptation.
In addition to the creative development aspect of the role around C13 related original IP, a key responsibility will be to lead, identify, pitch, and work with film and television producers, writers, directors, agents, streamers and production studios that are the best partners to work with C13 in leveraging the respective IP for TV/Film development and packaging.
This role will also have a voice within our original audio project development and greenlight process as well.
Qualifications

Required & Preferred:
Bachelor Degree
5+ years in TV and film creative and business development
Strong instinct for storytelling and creative development
Established relationships with writers, directors, producers, streamers, production houses, agents and the Hollywood entertainment community in general
A clear strategic vision for the future of the podcast business as it relates to developing IP in non-audio markets
Excellent communication, presentation, organization and negotiation skills
