Position Description
We are seeking an Instructional Designer II to support our Defense Ammunition Center (DAC) contract. In this position, you will conduct end-user needs assessments and performance assessments, analyze results to determine learning needs and performance gaps, and design custom training solutions for a variety of clients. This position is 100% remote.
This position is contingent on customer approval and/or contract award.
In this role you will:
Consult with clients to identify new requirements and strategies
Work with the instructional design team (Instructional Designers, Media Specialists, Programmers, Quality Control Specialists) and Project and Program Managers to design responsive training and/or performance support solutions and schedules
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the ISD process and foster design innovation
Capture and diagram workflow processes, conduct task analyses and workflow observations
Participate in visual design, prototyping, and usability testing and evaluation
Review products throughout analysis, design, and development for style guidelines, writing standards, and sensible course/task flow
Work under the supervision of the Project Manager or the Senior Instructional Designer to develop and document instructor-led, paper-based, and technology delivered curricula or performance support solutions
Design and develop 508 Compliant eLearning courseware and training materials
Utilize the ADDIE model
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A United States Citizenship
The ability to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance
Bachelor`s degree and minimum of five years' experience with eLearning and adult learning theory
Demonstrated ability with word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Working knowledge of at least one development tool (e.g., Lectora, Captivate, Storyline)
Broad knowledge in the field of human-computer interaction and performance-centered design
The ability to present complex information clearly to a disbursed online audience
The ability to demonstrate utilization of the ADDIE model
Strong writing and oral communication skills
Strong presentation, facilitation, interpersonal and client interaction skills
Meticulous attention to detail and demonstrated editing skills
The ability to prioritize and make good decisions with minimal supervision
Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
The ability to travel up to 10%
