Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.
Basic Job Duties: Designs and develops CAD design for spacecraft structure. Works closely with customer to receive and then incorporate feedback. Requires specialized depth and breadth of expertise for spacecraft structures, aluminum honeycomb panels and best practices for flight design.
Works independently and is proactive to come up with design solutions. Interprets customer challenges and recommends best path forward. Good communication skills and high experience level with CREO Windchill CAD software.

Skills:
Proficient with CREO Windchill
Advanced understanding and experience with CAD software
Strong knowledge of spacecraft structures
Ability to solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with DOD, Agency, and/or industry standards and engineering requirements .
Background in planning, coordinating, directing, and evaluating aerospace systems.
Ability to work independently, requiring guidance only in the most complex situations.
Understanding and interpreting internal/external customer challenges to recommend best practices for improving products, processes, or services based on industry knowledge.
Additional Information:
Part time remote acceptable
Experience and/or Education in lieu of these qualifications will be reviewed for applicability to meet these requirements.
