Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Systems Administrator to join our team! In this role you will get to work with a small team of experts to build networks that simulate various real-world scenarios and support the networks while simulated threat actors attempt to breach the network security to test and improve security techniques and practices. The SA will support automation for quick deployment and redeployment of both physical and virtual systems as needed to support the simulation environments. Will additionally support other Unconventional Access programs in maintaining already existing networks as needed.
What You'll Be Doing:
Configure and maintain virtual computing environments.
Install and configure various operating systems on physical and virtual systems.
Setup and maintain domain controllers for multiple domains.
Setup and maintain multiple active directory environments.
Setup and maintain exchange e-mail systems on multiple networks.
Setup and maintain virus protection on multiple networks.
Setup and maintain file servers.
Configure two factor authentication systems such as RSS.
Configure and maintain thin client network workstations.
Setup and maintain web services such as IIS or Apache.
Setup and maintain various support software applications such as rocket chat, Confluence, Jira, SharePoint and Subversion.
Configuration of data diodes and file transport tools.
Document system configurations and plans/procedures.
Develop and implement network backup and recovery procedures.
Develop, implement, and maintain automation to build/rebuild network environments.
Diagnose network connectivity problems.
Patch network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties.
Monitor network capacity and performance.
Test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices.
Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability.
Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures.
Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures.
Manage system and server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
Monitor and maintain system and server configurations.
Perform repairs on faulty system and server hardware.
Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
Configure and optimize physical and virtual network firewalls, routers, and switches.
Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software.
Install or replace network firewalls, routers, and switches.
Monitor network and report suspicious activity during simulated attacks.
Configure and maintain Type 1 Inline Network Encryptors.
Configure and maintain cross-domain solutions
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Support and provide oversight to other networks and teams supported under the same Org as needed.
Apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts.
Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
Work on unusually complex problems and provide solutions that are highly creative.
Work under consultative direction toward predetermining long-range targets.
Provide advice and counsel to the organization in area of expertise.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Active TS/SCI w/ full scope polygraph
Minimum twelve (12) years of experience as a Systems Integrator, Systems Administrator, or in a Cybersecurity role
Experience with SIEM tools like Splunk or similar products
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in IT, Cybersecurity, or related discipline preferred
Active CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, or higher (minimum DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification)
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), and/or STIGs/IAVA
A problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solution
Has, or is willing to gain, more diverse IT skills, including Windows/Linux and networking
Able to build systems from the ground up - network architecture/systems engineering

Salary Range:
$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
