The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. Integrated Logistics
The logistics team provides end-to-end integrated logistics solutions designed, deployed and executed to support Caterpillar's global footprint of manufacturing plants, suppliers, distribution centers and dealers. Capabilities include:
Packaging Design and Returnable Container Management
Inbound International and Domestic Transportation
Logistics Network Operations - including Manufacturing Parts Nodes, Site Logistics and Cross Dock Operations
Outbound Logistics - International and Domestic: Specialized Cargo and Product Distribution Solutions
As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will report to a Quality Supervisor but may receive assignments from other management staff or lead personnel. Quality Assurance Analysts perform quality control and/or technical support for all functional departments including receiving, shipping, storage, processing, communication and/or related equipment, packaging and returns to ensure client standards are maintained.
Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
Maintains a cooperative relationship with all team members and may berequired to perform duties outside of the normal work routine
Utilizes specialized knowledge of client materialto identify and analyze incoming partsand complaintsfromcustomersandsuppliers and makes appropriate disposition
Inspects methods and processes used for storing, packaging andshipping customer orders
May be responsible for maintaining accurate inventoryof parts, tools required to perform specific duties
Interfaces with client and client systems to ascertain qualityparameters and specific tolerance standards
Investigates part identification integrity and maintains applicablerecords. Tests incoming materialusing a variety of tools and testing equipment
May perform clientand/or vendor product sample tests and layout approvals forfurther analysis
Conducts sample audits ofmaterialto be packaged or shipped and maintains corresponding records
May be required to compilequality reports as facility or client needs dictate
Must have basic PC skillsi.e.Word,PowerPoint, Excel, and other applications relevant to Quality processes
Must be able to work overtime and irregular shifts asneeded
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry tools, product weighing up 50 pounds, work at heights up to 20 feet from the floor, work in changing environmental conditions and squat, bend and stretch for short intervals, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Relocation is not offered for this position
This is a 3rdShift position (Sunday night - Friday morning, 10:30pm - 7:00am)
Ba sic Qualifications
Requires highschool diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in warehousing and/or quality
Ability to read and interpret blueprintsand/or electronic schematics diagrams
Working knowledge of complex inspection tools including dial boreindicators, micrometers and various gages, etc.
Top Candidates Will Also Have
Aworking knowledge of Cat Logistics and/or client inventory and reporting systems
1+ years of direct customer service experience
Previous experience in quality control
ASQ (American Society for Quality) certification or Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification
