Job DescriptionSummary:iWorks under the direction of nursing to provide restorative services to residents to help them with mobility issues and performs other CNA tasks.iUpholds the philosophy, vision, and core values of the organization and ensures the Christian Mission of Lutheran Senior Services is realized so that iOlder Adults Live Life to the Fullesti.iResponsibilitiesParticipates in developing the restorative plan with the licensed nurse and other team members.Works with residents to achieve restorative goals that include performing exercises, transfers, bed mobility, and gait training.Provides documentation and feedback related to the residentis response to the restorative activity and any obstacles.Reports to licensed nurse about when an activity was not done and why or if a modification or adapt ion is made to an activity and why.Assists in monitoring and maintaining equipment and supplies.Works with other CNAis who are not specially trained in restorative care to help them provide maintenance care.Reports any changes observed in the residentis function or self care abilities.Provides personal care and assistance with all ADL/s of residents as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.iQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesCNA certification and additional training in restorative techniques.Two years as a CNA in a long term care facility.Good verbal and written skills.iPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsiThe physical activities, demands and working conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.i Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job duties and responsibilities.iWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
