PenFed is hiring a (Remote) Area Sales Manager at our Jacksonville, Florida location. The Area Sales Manager will work closely with the Divisional Sales Managers and Executive leadership to execute on the strategic plan for their specific geographic area and the division as a whole. The primary purpose of this job is to lead and develop Agent Mortgage Loan Officers, recruit and retain talent to join their team and manage daily sales activities to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are being met on a monthly basis. This role will also work closely with affiliated businesses to form relationships and support members.

Recruit, evaluate, and select qualified mortgage Loan Originators to retain and grow marketshare in assigned territory in accordance with the minimum performance standards outlined. Responsible for the overall success and growth for assigned sales territory.
Creates workforce stability by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining top talent.
Supports the team in achieving goals through coaching and modeling the behaviors and core PenFed values.
Coach Loan Officers on sales tactics, origination best practices, which loan scenario best suits the borrower and member satisfaction scores.
Develop goals to strengthen internal and external partnerships, to increase mortgage production, and to ensure smooth operations within teams.
Models sales skills and becomes the LO's accountability partner to ensure they are closing minimum production standards monthly while maintaining high member satisfaction.
Ensure established sales activities are being executed by the assigned LO's.
Assist Loan Officers with making presentations to Real Estate partners to introduce PenFed Loan products and services.
Responsible for profitable growth for designated team within assigned market to meet or exceed established goals and objectives for the division.
Responsible for Performance Reviews, PIPs, training, time cards, expense approvals.
Generates referrals for mortgage sales opportunities and sales of other Company business line products.
Ensure the BHHS/PFR realty offices agents are receiving excellent service and feedback on all pending files.
Manage QC findings on Agent MLO processed loans to include making corrections as needed and attending monthly meetings to review results.
Remain current on all mortgage department policies updating staff of any changes or new business so that they remain informed.
Conduct weekly meetings with the BHHS group review quality service and to discuss any issues that may have occurred during the week, seeking resolutions.
Meet with Divisional managers and MLO sales teams on a weekly basis to keep communication open and consistent.
Actively participates in local and state mortgage banking, realtor, and builder trade associations, and maintains a thorough understanding of mortgage industry knowledge and event issues.
Field incoming member concerns and ensure issues are resolved and members are satisfied.
Review daily pipelines to ensure ACL/PQ are compliant and in line with departmental expectation.
Qualifications
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
Bachelor's Degree in Management, Marketing or a related field is required.
Minimum of eight (8) years' of experience in Mortgage Sales/Operations with a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience is required.
Advanced knowledge of mortgage originations; including product, underwriting, investor and compliance guidelines required.
Ability to manage staff by leading department initiatives and motivating team members to achieve and exceed sales goals.
Must be able to work well in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities without sacrificing member satisfaction.
Demonstrated proficiency in the recruitment and management of residential mortgage loan origination professionals.
Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent software packages.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain business collaborate relationships within and outside organization.
Must be able to pass NMLS screening, which includes a satisfactory credit history.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will supervise employees.
Licenses and Certifications
Must have an active NMLS license.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
Travel
Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
