Description

Under general supervision, may be responsible for coordinating, documenting, maintaining and scheduling other required training. Typically reports to a supervisor.

Job duties may include the following:

  • Review and assessment of employee and agency worker training needs.

  • Assist with coordination of training schedule.

  • Evaluation of employee or agency worker's skill level.

  • Ability to Follow Standard Work

  • Update and maintain training records.

  • Ability to follow and communicate standard work directions.

  • Relies on independent decision- making and problem solving to complete job tasks.

  • Ability to maintain confidential information.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

  • Basic Computer and Caterpillar Systems Knowledge

  • Ability to demonstrate proficient use and understanding of computer software.

  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn Caterpillar computer systems or programs

  • Review and update training plans and programs as needed

  • Effective Communication

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees.

  • Cross-functional communication to complete tasks

  • Ability to communicate work instructions

Basic Qualifications

  • Previous machine operation experience of at least 24 months

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods

  • Ability to perform repetitive operations

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs

Top Candidates will also have

  • Prior training experience

  • Previous leadership experience (either formal supervisory or informal leadership experience)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work

  • Strong commitment to Safety

  • Multiple BCP Product knowledge

  • Knowledge of Erosion Control

  • 5+ years of Machine Operation experience

Additional Information

Shift: Night Shift (Second)

Hours: M-Th 6 p.m. - 4:30 a.m. (opportunity for Overtime

Starting pay rate: $25.96/hour (+ Night Shift Premium of 5%)

Work location: Clayton, NC Machine Development Center
