Alpine, an ITW company, currently has an opening for a HR Generalist . The HR Generalist will provide day-to-day HR support and policy administration including new hire onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS data and reporting and other HR project work. This role is based out of Glenview, IL.

Organizes and conducts all new hire orientation and onboarding.
Inputs and maintains employee data in the HRIS and employee files.
Prepares employee communication documents including new hire, disability, benefit, separation notices and related documentation.
Works with ITW corporate human resources or third party providers, as necessary, in management of employee life cycle processes and transactions.
Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
Manages leave of absence programs.
Organize data for affirmative action plan generation.
Assist with the non-exempt recruitment process including scheduling interviews, posting and screening candidates.
Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.
Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)
Bachelor degree required
1-2 years of HR Administrative experience
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization
Effectively manage and prioritize workload, assume and manage multiple tasks without close supervision, adapt to change, and consistently meet deadlines
Strong technical skills/aptitude: Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word and Excel).
Experience with HRIS systems.
Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential business and employee information.
Must be able to travel 20%.
