Position Information:
Starting pay for the position is $20.62 per hour.
Domestic relocation is not available for this position.

Job Summary/ Responsibilities:
As a maintenance apprentice, you will assist with a variety of duties, including installing equipment, maintaining mechanical systems, and repairing machines. While going to college, the students will go to school full-time and will work part-time at hours prescribed by the Maintenance Manager that will allow them to be both successful in their classes and work on-the-job training with a journeyman/mentor at Hodges Casting Facility. This will allow the Apprentice to get both lecture and hands-on laboratory training during school, while getting hands-on training on actual equipment they will be responsible for doing preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and maintenance repairs on manufacturing and process control equipment and systems after they graduate. Upon completion of this program, this Maintenance Apprentice will carry a dual role in both Mechanical and Electrical Trade, meaning that they will be able to fill a spot at Hodges Casting Facility as a Maintenance Tech that can work on both trades of Mechanical and Electrical.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a GED or HS Diploma
Completes Math, English, and mechanical aptitude test through Piedmont Technical College
Passes the testing at Piedmont Technical College to be considered for role.
Completion of Caterpillar interview
Ability to commute to and from the Caterpillar Hodges facility and Piedmont Technical College
